Senior Field Applications Engineer
Role Summary
Senior Field Applications Engineer providing pre- and post-sales technical support for RF, FPGA and PLD solutions to customers in the Bangalore territory. Works with suppliers, engineering, and sales teams to demonstrate solutions, troubleshoot customer systems, and drive design wins.
Experience Level
Senior. Candidate guidance listed 2–3 years of related experience preferred; prior customer-facing technical experience and demonstrated ability to support sales engagements expected.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical enablement, customer support, and solution demonstration to win designs and support accounts.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers on RF, FPGA and PLD solutions; act as first point of contact for technical issues.
- Develop and implement reference designs and demos to showcase PLD/FPGA capabilities and competitive advantages.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and system-level issues, including board-level debugging.
- Collaborate with supplier field sales, factory engineering, marketing and internal sales teams on proposals, product enhancements and strategic technical plans.
- Contribute to territory, account and opportunity plans; support pre- and post-sales activities and technical consultations.
- Drive demand creation by producing technical content, leveraging Arrow engineering and design resources, and applying solution-selling techniques.
- Provide onsite customer support and be willing to travel within North India to support and develop customer relationships.

Must-have: Strong fundamentals in digital electronics and RTL design (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog); experience with FPGA programming and embedded systems.

Must-have: Experience troubleshooting hardware and system-level issues; problem-solving skills and ability to drive cross-functional issue resolution.

Must-have: Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills for customer-facing engagements.

Must-have: Ability and willingness to travel within North India for customer support and business development.

Nice-to-have: Board-level debugging experience, RF design experience, C programming for embedded systems, Linux OS concepts.

Nice-to-have: Model-based DSP design experience (MATLAB/Simulink) and prior customer-facing technical sales support experience.
Education Requirements
BE/BTech or ME/MSc in Electronics, Telecommunications or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
