Senior Field Applications Engineer
Role Summary
The Senior Field Applications Engineer on the Systems Architecture team provides technical leadership for NVIDIA datacenter GPU integrations, supporting customers from design‑in through qualification and production. The role focuses on system bring‑up, validation, troubleshooting, and enabling design wins with OEMs and service providers.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 8+ years of relevant experience in high‑tech electronics, system design, or field applications engineering.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include customer technical support, system validation, and driving product qualification.
- Lead product lifecycle activities from design‑in to end‑of‑life and support systems through go‑live.
- Provide deep technical assistance to OEMs, Tier‑1 suppliers, and design houses to simplify qualification and resolve issues.
- Perform board‑level troubleshooting, circuit analysis, and failure analysis (FAR) resolution.
- Collaborate on joint development projects to deliver tailored hardware and software solutions and demos.
- Provide onsite support for hardware and software problem resolution and system bring‑up.
- Drive design wins and qualification milestones with manufacturers and cloud service providers.
- Act as a technical specialist for NVIDIA datacenter products and coordinate with internal teams to improve customer outcomes.
Requirements

- 8+ years of experience in system design, hardware bring‑up, board validation, or FAE support roles.
- Hands‑on board‑level validation and system qualification experience; familiarity with server test levels and OEM qualification processes.
- Knowledge of PCIe and other high‑speed interfaces; familiarity with BMC/IPMI, BIOS/UEFI, or system firmware debugging.
- Understanding of thermal design fundamentals and how component placement affects system temperatures.
- Experience with AI or data center infrastructure, including rack integration, cooling, and power provisioning.
- Strong project management, time‑management, and written and oral communication skills in English.
- Willingness to provide onsite customer support and travel as required.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with ARM platforms and NVIDIA GPU development.
- Familiarity with HGX, DGX, or MGX platform designs and server baseboard design.
- Proven record of driving design wins or qualifications at OEMs or cloud service providers.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience.
