Senior Field Applications Engineer
Role Summary
Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers and Baya Systems, guiding integration of Baya's interconnect IP and software into customer SoC and multi-die designs. Work with sales and engineering teams to translate customer requirements into implementable solutions, troubleshoot integration and deployment issues, and deliver technical enablement.
Baya is a Series B startup focused on unified fabric solutions for single-die and multi-die systems in data center, infrastructure, AI, automotive, and edge markets.
Experience Level
Senior-level; 5+ years of experience in field application engineering or other customer-facing technical roles supporting semiconductor or SoC design projects.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Act as the technical point of contact for key customers throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Assist in designing and implementing customized solutions to meet customer-specific requirements and constraints.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and training for customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Troubleshoot customer inquiries and integration issues; provide timely, practical resolutions.
- Monitor industry trends, technologies, and standard methodologies to advise customers on product development strategies.
- Travel to customer sites and industry events as required.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications:
- Proven experience in a field applications or customer-facing technical role supporting semiconductor/SoC projects.
- Experience designing or supporting complex SoC projects from architecture definition through tape-out on advanced process nodes.
- Understanding of functional safety standards and certification processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience engaging with customers at varying technical levels.
- Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites and events.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with RAS and reliability requirements for enterprise and infrastructure markets.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (as stated in the posting).
