Senior Field Application Engineer, ODM Support
Role Summary
Support NVIDIA rack-scale AI systems through partner integration, validation, launch readiness, and production ramp. Work with architecture, engineering, program, account, and partner teams to resolve technical issues and drive deployment of NVIDIA accelerated computing platforms in ODM and manufacturing ecosystems.
Role requires onsite presence for hands-on debugging and partner coordination; local to Nashville is strongly preferred.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 5+ years of relevant experience in system design, datacenter deployment, manufacturing support, technical customer support, or ODM/partner integration.
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership across design-in, integration, validation, and production ramp for rack-scale systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Act as technical specialist for GPU and networking products during design-in and ramp phases.
- Partner with account, program, architecture, and engineering teams to resolve technical and integration issues.
- Establish and maintain technical relationships with partner engineering teams and internal stakeholders.
- Provide primarily onsite technical support; perform remote support and travel as required to debug hardware, firmware, software, networking, and system integration issues.
- Lead NPI, rack integration, validation, production ramp, sustaining support, and lifecycle transitions.
- Develop technical solutions, demos, and example system builds for partners and internal enablement.
- Deliver technical enablement and documentation to account, program, and partner-facing teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional launch teams to ensure readiness and positive customer experience.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience for successful performance in this role:
Must-have:
- 5+ years of experience in system design, datacenter deployment, manufacturing support, technical customer support, or ODM/partner integration.
- Proven experience supporting integration, validation, or production ramp of complex datacenter systems.
- Hands-on familiarity with server/rack hardware, GPUs, networking, storage, power, thermal, cabling, BMC, and Linux-based debug workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; able to collaborate with management and engineering teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with ARM and NVIDIA GPU development.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- Knowledge of embedded Linux systems and APIs.
- Experience working with ODMs, manufacturing partners, or datacenter infrastructure teams.
- In-depth understanding of CPU architecture.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science β or equivalent practical experience.
