Senior Field Application Engineer
Role Summary
The Senior Field Application Engineer supports product development and customer implementations for Innatera's neuromorphic processors. The role works within the engineering team to integrate Innatera's spiking neural processor technology into customer designs and to convert field feedback into product improvements.
Based at the Dutch HQ (Rijswijk) or remotely in the UK, Ireland, or Portugal, the role combines technical customer support, training, architecture reviews, and cross-team collaboration with Sales, SDK/EDK, and Product teams.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Minimum 5+ years in a technical customer-facing role (FAE, System Architect, or similar) within the semiconductor industry.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during customer integrations and deployments.
- Translate customer feedback and usage scenarios into actionable product improvements.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor to customer architects and engineering managers.
- Organize and deliver workshops, seminars, and on-site training for tools, software, and applications.
- Guide customers through design-in: architecture reviews, schematic reviews, and integration support.
- Partner with Sales to identify opportunities and articulate product value to customers.
- Collaborate with SDK/EDK, architecture, and Product teams to improve the platform and documentation.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Proven experience with AI embedded applications and customer-facing semiconductor roles.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++.
- Experience with ML/AI frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Familiarity with embedded development kits and embedded development workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer-service skills.
- Experience working in global, cross-functional environments and collaborating with sales and engineering stakeholders.
Nice-to-have:
- Computer architecture knowledge.
- Prior experience with spiking neural networks or neuromorphic processors.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
