Senior Engineer, TSE-DRAM
Role Summary
Develop and maintain test software and support test hardware for advanced DRAM devices. Work with R&D and global manufacturing teams to design, validate, and release test programs and algorithms for production.
Focus on test algorithm development, test flow optimization, automation, data analysis, and cross-site problem resolution to improve yield, test time, and product quality.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The employer requests a Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of related experience for the position.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop, debug, and maintain code enabling parallel testing of DRAM on Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
- Design test plans and test algorithms covering software/hardware requirements, defect coverage, characterization, trending, and process flow.
- Optimize test programs and algorithms to reduce test time and manufacturing cost.
- Design and debug test hardware as required to support new tests.
- Automate test processes and build tools for large-scale probe data analysis.
- Independently identify root cause of test issues and coordinate solutions across internal and external teams.
- Provide statistical analysis, validation, and justification for program release and ensure data integrity.
- Support yield and quality verification with global teams and drive experiments to improve yield or capacity.
- Communicate technical findings and present results to diverse audiences; lead cross-site development efforts when required.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Understanding of digital logic gates, CMOS transistor operation, and DRAM device physics as they relate to test and reliability.
- Proficient in C++ for developing and debugging test algorithms.
- Experience with Unix/Linux development environments and command-line tools.
- Python or Perl scripting for automation and data extraction.
- Data analysis skills including Statistical Process Control (SPC) and statistical modeling for large datasets.
- Familiarity with CMOS manufacturing processes.
- Experience with semiconductor memory testers (ATE platforms) and algorithm pattern generation (APG).
Nice-to-have: experience developing DFT/DFM/DFR capabilities and prior exposure to multi-site program release processes.
Education Requirements
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
