Senior Engineer - Testing
Role Summary
Senior engineer on the production testing team based in Chennai responsible for test setup, troubleshooting, and maintaining test equipment and processes for power products during NPI and volume production.
Works with global teams, customers, and production/process groups to resolve test and process issues, improve yield, and implement corrective actions.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Minimum 5+ years of similar test engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include running shift testing activities, equipment maintenance, and coordinating improvements to yield and quality.
- Manage and execute overall shift testing activities; report to supervisor.
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions for process-related and test issues with global teams and customers.
- Setup and maintain automated and manual testers for power products; perform tester troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Operate and maintain test equipment such as Chroma Hi-Pot, power meters, programmable AC sources, DC electronic loads, and industrial PCs.
- Support IC programming, burn-in, and automation platforms used in power product validation.
- Manage failure recovery, implement ECNs, and coordinate with process/production for yield and quality improvements.
- Monitor and maintain factory targets for yield, downtime, and failure rates.

Must-have:
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant test engineering experience in production environments.
- Strong experience with Chroma ATE systems.
- Experience in setup and troubleshooting of automated and manual power-product test machines.
- Experience with power product testing platforms and tester preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with burn-in and automation tools (examples: Melss, Sinvo, Guanjia).
- Familiarity with IC programming and related power-product automation workflows.
