Senior Engineer, Test Development
Role Summary
Design and integrate software and hardware for automated DC and RF test solutions in a high-volume semiconductor test environment. Work within the test development team to create, validate and maintain test systems and test programs supporting production, design verification and qualification.
Support cross-functional engineering projects, tester platform migrations, test efficiency improvements and test program buyoff activities across lab and manufacturing sites.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 5+ years of relevant semiconductor manufacturing and test product development experience.
Responsibilities
The role is responsible for developing automated test solutions and supporting test activities throughout product lifecycle.
- Design and integrate software and hardware to implement automated DC and RF test solutions for high-volume production.
- Develop applications and test programs on various tester platforms.
- Improve test efficiency: multi-site expansion, tester platform migrations and other optimizations.
- Participate in cross-functional teams for design verification, qualification testing and customer return investigations.
- Generate and maintain documentation for test systems, software designs and test development processes.
- Create test plans, procedures and reports; support test program buyoff in lab and manufacturing.

Must-have: Software development and debugging experience; familiarity with C, C++ and Visual Basic/VBA.

Must-have: Experience with RF test equipment such as RF sources, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, power meters, power supplies and digital multimeters.

Must-have: Knowledge of RF test concepts: S-parameters, noise figure, power, pulsed power, TOI and harmonics.

Must-have: Statistical data analysis and design of experiments (DOE) skills.

Must-have: Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to produce technical documentation and reports.

Must-have: Strong ownership, self-motivation, excellent written and oral communication skills; able to operate independently with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-have: Experience with ATE platforms (Teradyne, Cohu) and multi-site tester deployments.

Nice-to-have: Experience with schematic design and PCB layout.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electronic Engineering with 5 or more years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing and test product development.
