Senior Engineer, Tapeout Engineering

Responsibilities
Deliver daily tapeout operations, troubleshoot EDA runs, and support process improvements and documentation.
- Perform Design Rule Checking (DRC), mask data preparation, and tapeout data validation.
- Release data for fracture and related tapeout activities.
- Collaborate with OPC, Frame, Tapeout Logistics & Integration, Global Shuttle Operations, and PLCM to meet tapeout requirements.
- Develop and implement methods to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and shorten cycle times.
- Collect tapeout metrics and KPIs, analyze deviations, and support action plans.
- Debug EDA tool runs and failures; assist in root-cause analysis.
- Maintain tapeout FMEAs, create best-practice documentation, and deliver internal training.
- Work onsite 40 hours/week in the Bengaluru office; be flexible to cover Sun–Thu or Tue–Sat shifts as needed.
Requirements

- 0–2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
- Available for full-time, year-round onsite work in Bengaluru and able to work the required shift schedule.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to debug EDA tool runs and failures.
- Nice-to-have: proficiency with Linux commands and directory structure; experience with LSF; scripting knowledge (Python, Shell, TCL); familiarity with MySQL; experience with Mentor/Siemens, Synopsys, or Cadence EDA tools.
Education Requirements
