Job Title

Senior Engineer, System-Level Design Verification

Role Summary

Senior verification engineer responsible for validating full-system behavior of distributed AI compute platforms. Work with hardware and software teams to ensure connectivity, coherency, performance, reliability, and observability across multi-node systems.

Hybrid role based out of Toronto, Austin (TX), or Belgrade; focused on system-level validation for AI workloads rather than block-level microarchitecture alone.

Experience Level

Senior. The company may assess candidates at different levels during interview; no explicit years-of-experience requirement provided.

Responsibilities

Validate functionality and behavior of large, distributed AI compute systems across nodes and interconnects.

  • Test and verify system connectivity, cache/coherency, and end-to-end functionality.
  • Measure, analyze, and tune performance of real AI workloads to meet silicon targets.
  • Develop and maintain system-level test frameworks, observability, and diagnostic tooling.
  • Root-cause complex issues spanning hardware, firmware, and software stacks; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Define verification plans aligned with silicon goals and product releases.
  • Scale system validation approaches for evolving architectures and multi-node deployments.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and responsibilities.

  • Proven experience in system-level design verification focused on full-system behavior.
  • Strong ability to analyze AI workload performance and hardware/software interactions end-to-end.
  • Experience debugging complex issues involving both hardware and software components.
  • Practical knowledge of observability, diagnostics, and building system-level test frameworks.
  • Experience validating and tuning performance for distributed compute platforms or multi-node systems.
  • Commitment to reliability, operational excellence, and measurable observability.

Nice-to-have: experience with performance counters, large-scale cluster validation, or prior work on AI accelerator platforms.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
