Senior Engineer, Product Test
Role Summary
Member of the ASIC Business Unit Product & Test Engineering (PTE) team within the Digital Business Unit. Responsible for developing production-ready probe and ATE test solutions for complex mixed-signal and digital SoC devices.
Work with cross-functional design, reliability, and offshore production teams to bring new products through silicon validation, characterization, yield improvement, correlation and production release.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 4β5 years of hands-on experience in mixed-signal or digital test.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include design, development and release of test solutions and execution of test development phases.
- Design probe and test solutions on high-performance mixed-signal/digital ATE platforms (primarily Teradyne Ultra-Flex and 93K) for multi-site parallel testing.
- Develop ATE software and test programs according to specifications.
- Participate in DFT/BIST definition and collaborate with the Design Team during new product development to improve testability and reduce FFC.
- Execute test development phases: silicon functionality, characterization, yield analysis, correlation and offshore production release.
- Release multi-site test programs to offshore production test houses and support correlation work.
- Work with reliability and qualification engineers on product qualification activities.
- Use bench equipment such as oscilloscopes, VI meters, signal generators and analyzers for debug and validation.
- Travel as required (approximately 10%) and work standard day shift.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes for the role.
- 4β5 years of hands-on experience in mixed-signal or digital test.
- Experience with ATE software development and working knowledge of Teradyne Flex and/or 93K ATE systems.
- Programming skills in Perl and C++ for test development and automation.
- Analytical and statistical skills for characterization and yield analysis.
- Experience in ATE high-speed digital hardware design and layout; ability to lead hardware problem resolution.
- Experience releasing test programs to offshore production and supporting test house handover.
- Proficiency with bench test equipment (oscilloscope, VI meter, signal generator, analyzers).
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills; self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Education Requirements
Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (as stated in the posting).
