Senior Engineer, Product Applications
Role Summary
Technical leader for Optical Control products within the Product Application & Evaluation team, responsible for driving product evaluation, application development, and release readiness from early silicon through production. The role connects silicon design, test, applications, and product release to support optical module architectures (CPO, XPO, NPO, LPO).
Onsite position in Beijing supporting lab evaluation, customer debugging, qualification, and cross-functional execution.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include evaluation, application design, debugging, project management, and technical leadership.
- Define comprehensive product evaluation plans and detailed test methodologies; produce evaluation and characterization reports.
- Design internal evaluation hardware and develop automated measurement programs for silicon evaluation.
- Execute functionality, performance, and characterization tests on evaluation and application benches.
- Develop application boards and customer reference designs aligned with target optical module architectures.
- Produce datasheets, user guides, and application notes; support customer application issue debugging.
- Debug silicon, board-level, and system-level issues; perform root cause analysis with design, test, and reliability teams.
- Drive product qualification activities (Qual Plan, HTOL, HAST, ESD, LU, and other reliability tests) and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and resources.
- Coordinate across Engineering, Product, Test, Software, Operations, Quality, and stakeholders; identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
- Mentor junior engineers and help build long-term application capability within the team.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes.
- Strong foundation in signal-chain circuits (ADC, DAC, amplifiers, TIA, PGA).
- Deep understanding of IC evaluation and performance measurement techniques.
- Hands-on experience with PCB schematic and layout.
- Programming experience in LabVIEW, Python, and/or C/C++.
- Familiarity with lab instruments: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal sources, and DMMs.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills; self-motivated and collaborative communicator.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Education Requirements
MSEE or above in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
