Micron TechnologyJob Title
Senior Engineer, Process Integration, NAND, NTI
Role Summary
Senior/Principal NAND module process integration engineer based in the Singapore R&D organization. Responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and implementing process solutions to improve next-generation 3D NAND product yield, quality, cost, and performance within program timelines.
Works with R&D, product engineering, and manufacturing teams to define CSPECs, lead development projects, enable technology transfers, and support production ramps and qualification.
Experience Level
Senior-level (Senior/Principal). Guidance: minimum of 3 years of semiconductor industry experience, with emphasis on process integration and yield enhancement.
Responsibilities
Accountable for module-level process integration, yield improvement, and technology transfer activities across R&D and manufacturing.
- Identify and quantify module deficiencies and technology gaps; lead cross-functional teams to resolve them.
- Improve process flows and develop innovative integration solutions to meet product and manufacturability requirements.
- Develop or redefine CSPEC criteria and drive activities to ensure manufacturing process capability.
- Coordinate site activities to secure funding for experiments and conversions and communicate decisions to R&D, product engineering, and manufacturing partners.
- Plan and execute development projects to evaluate and implement new integration schemes and establish proof of concept for future tech nodes.
- Lead technical reviews (quarterly yield summits, monthly program reviews) to summarize issues, actions, and alignment across teams and senior management.
- Support transfer of new technology from R&D to manufacturing, including ramp-up, qualification, documentation, and training.
- Apply AI and data-driven methods to streamline workflows, optimize processes, and enable better decision making across projects.
Requirements
Key technical skills, experience, and behavioral attributes required or strongly preferred.
Must have:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the semiconductor industry focused on process integration and yield enhancement.
- Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and process-integration optimization skills.
- Proficiency with scripting/programming and analytics/BI tools such as Python, SolidWorks, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and able to operate in demanding, dynamic environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel for extended periods to the United States for collaborative R&D work.
Nice-to-have:
- In-depth knowledge and direct experience with NAND/non-volatile memory technologies, NAND process flow, device/process interactions, and common yield and reliability failure modes.
- Exposure to R&D areas (for example HKMG) and experience with technology transfer to manufacturing.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
