Senior Engineer - Process Development, Wet, NAND
Role Summary
The Senior Engineer in Wet Process Development will develop, optimize, and qualify wet chemical processes to support advanced NAND technology nodes. The role delivers experiments, analyses, and process controls to improve yield, margin, and manufacturability while working closely with Process Integration, TD, manufacturing, and suppliers.

Responsibilities
Accountable for defined wet process workstreams, experiment execution, margin improvement, integration, and process governance.
- Develop and optimize unit wet processes to meet yield and quality targets for advanced NAND part types.
- Plan, execute, and analyze experiments (DOE/SPC) to widen process margins and validate manufacturability for next-node solutions.
- Quantify benefits of process or equipment innovations and enable early adoption where appropriate.
- Integrate and troubleshoot processes within cross-functional teams to drive yield and quality improvements.
- Collaborate with Technology Development peers on technology choices and translate device needs into process requirements.
- Support supplier evaluations, hardware testing, and fundamental research; contribute to technical reporting and IP generation when applicable.
- Design and implement process monitoring and control methodologies; maintain clear experiment records and technical documentation.
- Identify process simplification and manufacturability improvements and support cross-functional implementation.
- Incorporate AI-assisted tools and insights to improve analysis efficiency and support continuous improvement within scope.

Must-have technical: Strong foundation in chemistry, chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, and mass transport.

Must-have technical: Experience with DOE/SPC and data-analysis systems (example: Y3) to analyze experimental outcomes.

Must-have technical: Working knowledge of memory process flow, including planar and vertical NAND contexts.

Must-have soft skills: Cross-functional collaboration, concise communication, and ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.

Nice-to-have: Experience with supplier engagement, hardware evaluations, IP generation, process monitoring/control methodologies, and integrating AI-enabled tools into workflow.
Education Requirements
PhD, or a Master’s degree with ≥3 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with ≥5 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field. Equivalent practical experience is considered.
