Senior Engineer, PPA Analytics & CAD

Role Summary

Design Automation Engineer responsible for developing and integrating design methodologies, analytics, and automation to improve Power, Performance, and Area for high-performance SoC/ASIC projects. The role owns PPA tracking platforms, flow release cycles, and day-to-day support for Physical Design execution while collaborating with platform engineering and platform technologies teams.

Employment is contingent on background and reference checks, proof of right to work in India, and export-control eligibility where applicable.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and maintain a unified PPA repository and dashboards; develop PPA scaling methodologies.
• Manage integration of recipe changes and take ownership of internal flow release cycles.
• Automate design flows and develop tooling using Python, TCL, and AI-driven agents.
• Collaborate with platform engineering to optimize and support the memory compiler flow.
• Integrate compiler-level and internal CAD solutions across teams to improve PD throughput and quality.
• Provide day-to-day support for Physical Design execution, troubleshoot flows, and stabilize releases.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Proficiency in Python and TCL for flow automation and tool development.
• Hands-on experience with databases and visualization tools, specifically SQL and Grafana.
• Experience leveraging AI agents and modern AI tools to accelerate development and coding tasks.
• Solid understanding of the digital ASIC design flow from Synthesis through Static Timing Analysis.
• Experience working with memory compiler flows and collaborating with platform teams.
• Ability to debug and support tool flows and production releases.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD practices for managing releases.
• Experience building data pipelines or handling large-scale engineering data for PPA optimization.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 4+ years of relevant industry experience as specified in the posting.
