Senior Engineer, MCT Operations Quality
Role Summary
Lead global initiatives to identify and eliminate high-risk manual touchpoints across Micron's Assembly & Test (AT) network. Work with AT sites, Global Quality, and cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable automation and process redesigns that reduce manual errors and improve product quality.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, Assembly & Test operations, quality engineering, or related technical fields.
Responsibilities
Drive and govern programs to remove manual touchpoints and scale proven solutions across global AT sites.
- Lead global initiatives to identify and eliminate high-risk manual touchpoints across Assembly, Test/Post-E, Module/SSD, HBM/PWF areas.
- Conduct onsite validation of manual touchpoints, assess quality risks, and propose improvements to eliminate them.
- Develop and deploy scalable solutions using physical automation/robotics, system automation, and AI-enabled tools.
- Lead end-to-end redesign initiatives to remove manual steps upstream.
- Provide program governance: define strategy, ensure alignment, and maintain execution consistency across AT sites.
- Drive rapid replication and scaling of proven solutions via structured deployment frameworks.
- Establish KPIs and scorecards to measure eliminated manual touchpoints and track progress against timelines.
- Develop AI-enabled dashboards that integrate manufacturing systems for proactive quality risk detection and compliance monitoring.
Requirements
Key technical skills and experience required for successful performance in this role.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, Assembly & Test operations, quality engineering, or related technical fields.
- Strong understanding of Assembly & Test manufacturing processes and systems, including Assembly, Test/Post-E, Module/SSD, HBM/PWF.
- Experience leading cross-functional and multi-site improvement programs in a global manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in process optimization, automation, and quality improvement.
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills; ability to identify root causes and process inefficiencies.
- Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, and AI is advantageous for data analysis and automation.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Ability to challenge existing practices and redesign workflows to improve product quality and operational reliability.
- Baseline digital fluency and ability to use AI-assisted tools for analysis and problem solving.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
