Senior Engineer II - IP Verification
Role Summary
Responsible for verification ownership of digital IP features in high-speed serial interfaces and protocols, including AMBA, DSP, and DDR IP cores. Develops verification environments and testcases to achieve robust IP sign-off.
Works as an individual contributor and collaborates closely with design teams and cross-functional stakeholders to improve coverage, debug issues, and deliver high-quality IP on schedule.
Experience Level
Senior β 7+ years of relevant digital IP/SoC verification and development experience.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include developing verification infrastructure, executing targeted tests, and ensuring robust IP sign-off.
- Own verification for one or more IP features (high-speed serial interfaces, AMBA, DSP, DDR).
- Architect and build SystemVerilog/UVM-based testbenches and verification environments optimized for the DUT.
- Write and run testcases, analyze failures, and debug RTL and testbench issues.
- Analyze coverage metrics and define additional tests to close gaps.
- Contribute to technical reviews of verification designs and sign-off criteria.
- Collaborate with design teams and other stakeholders to resolve issues and integrate verification work.
- Explore and apply verification methodologies and process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
- Travel up to 25% as required.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience; nice-to-have items noted where applicable.
- 7+ years relevant digital IP/SoC verification experience.
- Proven verification experience at both block and system level.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM for building testbenches, testcases, and coverage points.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and independent problem-solving skills.
- Experience with verification scripting tools (Tcl, Perl, etc.).
- Experience with Siemens verification tools and verification IPs.
- Ability to deliver complex, large projects and follow defined processes and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- System-level design experience and familiarity with processor-based systems.
- MATLAB and C programming skills.
- Experience designing solutions using Microchip (formerly Microsemi) FPGAs β nice-to-have.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering (BSEE / MSEE) as specified in the posting.
