Role Summary

Develop and support test hardware used for semiconductor product validation and production test. Work within the test engineering team at the Penang site to design fixtures, boards, and bench instrumentation that enable device characterization, validation, and yield improvement.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities typically include:

• Design, prototype, and validate test fixtures, PCBs, and hardware interfaces for wafer/probe and package testing.
• Debug and troubleshoot analog/digital circuits, signal integrity, and power delivery issues in test systems.
• Collaborate with test development, validation, and product teams to define test hardware requirements and schedules.
• Develop lab setups, instrumentation configurations, and test procedures to support characterization and yield analysis.
• Document designs, build instructions, and test reports; support transfer to manufacturing/test operations.
• Maintain and improve test hardware reliability and serviceability in the lab and production environments.

Requirements

Core qualifications and skills expected:

• Proven hands-on experience in test hardware development and debugging for semiconductor test or similar electronic systems (must-have).
• Experience with PCB design, schematic capture, and hardware bring-up (must-have).
• Familiarity with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators) and fixture assembly (must-have).
• Ability to read schematics, perform measurements, and use debugging tools; strong problem-solving skills (must-have).
• Scripting or automation skills for test setups (Python, LabVIEW, or similar) (nice-to-have).
• Experience with high-speed signal integrity, mixed-signal design, or production test transfer (nice-to-have).
