Senior Engineer - HIG HBM PSE - Design Validation
Role Summary
Design Validation Product Engineer for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM). Responsible for validating HBM designs from design through initial bring-up, qualification, and into volume production while coordinating with Build, Manufacturing, Test, Quality, and external customers.
Work emphasizes silicon validation, lab and software/hardware debugging, circuit simulation, data analysis, documentation, and improving validation methodologies.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Seniority will be determined by a combination of experience and education; candidates are expected to have multiple years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Expected duties focus on technical validation activities, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Interpret and apply JEDEC HBM specifications to validation plans and test coverage.
- Develop and maintain internal architecture documentation; review schematics and layout considerations for builds.
- Perform silicon validation of HBM designs; debug hardware and software issues in the lab.
- Run circuit simulations and perform data analysis to isolate and resolve failures.
- Collaborate closely with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Test, and Quality teams and with external stakeholders as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of validation methodologies, workflows, and tooling.

- Must-have: Experience with schematics, circuit simulation, lab debugging, data analysis, and pattern manipulation; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively in a team.
- Preferred: Experience or coursework in Python and C/C++; experience with Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog; coursework or familiarity with VLSI and semiconductor process technologies; strong written and verbal communication and self-motivation.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Coursework or familiarity with VLSI and semiconductor process is preferred.
