Role Summary

Work in the Tape-out organization in Singapore to support frame design and tape-out operations across technologies. Coordinate with fabs, mask house, and global engineering teams to ensure correct frame structures, automation inputs, and continuous process improvements to reduce risk and cycle time.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include managing tape-out frame activities, enabling automation, and driving process improvements.

• Support daily tape-out operations: define frame requirements, create frame layouts, execute ad-hoc changes, prioritize work queues, and hand off across global sites.
• Develop and customize internal and commercial software tools and generate input files that drive automation for the fab and mask house.
• Make timely decisions to hold, escalate, promote, or reject tape-out issues in coordination with Fab, Tape-out Logistics Integration, and FAE teams.
• Collaborate with Application Engineering, Product Engineering, Release Management, and Design Enablement to improve the customer tape-out experience.
• Partner with Fab and Technology Development teams to identify and implement efficiency, cost, and cycle-time improvements.
• Evaluate business processes and identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.
• Document processes, perform failure mode assessments, and implement mitigation and detection mechanisms.
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and comply with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and collaboration abilities; nice-to-have items are noted.

• Working knowledge of Unix shells and willingness to learn domain-specific scripting/programming and data formats. (Must)
• Experience using or customizing software tools to drive automation and generate tool input files. (Must)
• Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills. (Must)
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with cross-geographic, multicultural global teams. (Must)
• Experience with Cadence Mask Compose. (Nice-to-have)
• Experience with Virtuoso environment, SKILL programming, or device layout. (Nice-to-have)

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic/Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field is required.
