Senior Engineer, Field Applications

Role Summary

Provide field application and technical support for automotive embedded software and systems to assigned customers in the Korea region. Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and sales teams to identify, diagnose, and resolve customer technical issues.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience in automotive applications.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide field application and technical support for 10BASE-T1S, GMSL, and A2B software to assigned customers.
  • Diagnose and clarify field technical issues; coordinate with internal stakeholders to deliver fixes and workarounds.
  • Develop, validate, and support embedded firmware and software on MCU/DSP platforms.
  • Support customer integration, product bring-up, and troubleshooting activities both on-site and remotely.
  • Maintain and grow customer relationships; communicate technical status and recommendations clearly.
  • Travel to customer sites approximately 10% of the time.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer for automotive software applications.
  • Strong firmware experience on embedded systems (MCU or DSP).
  • Practical knowledge of embedded communications: SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet.
  • Proficient in C; understanding of software frameworks, stacks, and hardware abstraction layers.
  • Customer-facing skills: clear communicator, proactive self-starter, team player, and well-organized.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Software, or a related technical discipline is required; equivalent technical disciplines accepted.
