Role Summary

The Senior Engineer role focuses on developing and testing high-speed communications modules for automotive applications within the Automotive Systems and Solutions Technology Team. Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Designing proof-of-concept wired communications PCBs/modules with ADI and third-party components.
  • Optimizing performance and EMC compliance.
  • Performing channel measurements and analyses.
  • Conducting device and system testing, including automation of test equipment.
  • Coordinating EMC testing and board-level optimizations.
  • Contributing to standards-development organizations.

Requirements

Mandatory qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering; MSEE preferred.
  • Several years of relevant experience in high-speed analog or power circuit design.
  • Skills in high-speed circuit/PCB design and simulation.
  • Knowledge of wired communication transceiver and performance measurement.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment such as VNA, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, and automation via Python.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Desirable skills include familiarity with EMI/EMC standards, SERDES hardware testing, system modeling in Matlab/Simulink, and knowledge of communication standards.

Education Requirements

Minimum BS in Electrical or Communications Engineering is required; MSEE preferred with 5+ years of experience.
