Senior Engineer/Engineer, NVM QRA

Role Summary

As an NVM QRA Engineer in Global Quality, you will conduct electrical failure analysis and data analysis of 3D NAND memory devices, develop and oversee qualification plans, and perform risk assessments to sustain and improve product reliability. The role requires coordination with R&D and Product Engineering to resolve reliability issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Location: Penang, Malaysia (Grande site).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include qualification planning, test and failure analysis, risk assessment, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Define NAND qualification plans and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate and manage qualification execution and decision gates.
  • Analyze qualification and test data; perform risk assessments at decision points within the qualification cycle.
  • Perform electrical failure analysis on rejects to identify failure modes and root causes and drive corrective/preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with R&D and Product Engineering to evaluate new reliability issues and assess customer risk.
  • Leverage AI tools to automate reporting, defect classification, or root-cause analysis workflows.

  • Preferred: experience in the semiconductor industry in QA or Product Engineering.
  • Preferred: hands-on failure analysis experience.
  • Preferred: experience applying AI tools to improve engineering productivity, reporting, or defect classification.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline (as stated in the posting).
