Job Title
Senior Engineer / Engineer - HIG HBM PSE
Role Summary
Join the HIG HBM PSE validation team at Fab 10A, Singapore to execute device validation, support test platforms, and debug high-speed memory (HBM) products. The role focuses on validation execution, test program and hardware readiness, simulation and signal-integrity checks, data analysis and basic automation.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting specifies 2+ years of experience in semiconductor validation or product engineering; DRAM/HBM experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include planning, executing, and reporting validation activities and supporting test platforms and automation.
- Execute validation runs on IQP/ETV materials, ensuring MBIST and Native Mode flow coverage.
- Perform time-bound data analysis (log parsing, statistics) and prepare summary reports.
- Operate and debug SM3/Cobra (MBIST) and Advantest V93K (Native) test programs.
- Assist with hardware readiness: handler, socket, loadboard, and probe card setup.
- Validate high-speed I/O (>11 Gbps); assist with eye diagram and signal-integrity checks.
- Run Verilog simulations (testbench execution, waveform review) to reproduce issues and confirm fixes.
- Develop basic Python scripts for log parsing and data visualization; maintain documentation and version control.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective-action closure; collaborate with Design, DV, QA, and GQ teams.
- Identify and apply continuous-improvement and AI-enabled enhancements within scope.
Requirements
Key technical skills and experience required or strongly preferred.
-
Must-have: 2+ years of semiconductor validation or product engineering experience; exposure to HBM validation concepts and flows.
-
Must-have: Practical experience with MBIST and Native Mode testing platforms and test program operation.
-
Must-have: Verilog simulation experience: running testbenches and interpreting waveforms.
-
Must-have: Basic programming skills in Python and familiarity with C/C++ for test platform code development.
-
Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced lab environment.
-
Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Linux and version control systems (Git/SVN).
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) and APG (Algorithmic Pattern Generator).
-
Nice-to-have: Knowledge of DRAM/HBM architecture and datasheet interpretation; interest in automation and continuous improvement.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related) with relevant experience, or a Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
