Role Summary

The Senior Product Engineer is responsible for sustaining power IC products after mass production, ensuring long-term quality, reliability, manufacturability and cost efficiency. The role works with design, test, manufacturing and quality teams to support mature high-volume products, drive yield and COGS improvements, and resolve production and customer issues.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting specifies a minimum of 3 years' experience in Product Engineering.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on sustaining manufacturing, improving cost and yield, and resolving production and customer issues for high-volume semiconductor products.

• Manage product lifecycle and sustain multiple high-volume PCP products across internal fabs, assembly sites and subcontractors.
• Drive COGS and process improvements: yield, test time, failure reduction and process optimization.
• Support Process Change Review Board activities: product qualifications, material/second-source changes, process migrations and risk mitigation.
• Disposition abnormal or low-yield lots and mitigate production issues to maintain delivery.
• Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Reliability, factory teams and OSAT partners to resolve manufacturing and test issues.
• Analyze product performance, failure modes and reliability; support customer returns (RMA/FA) and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and workplace expectations, followed by desirable additions.

• Must-have: Minimum 3 years' experience in Product Engineering.
• Must-have: Onsite work required (Bayan Lepas).
• Must-have: Proficient in data manipulation and analysis; familiarity with tools such as JMP. PDF Exenso proficiency is a plus.
• Must-have: Familiarity with integrated circuit / semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Must-have: Product management mindset with strong focus on cost, ROI and efficiency.
• Must-have: Good verbal and written English communication; self-motivated and strong time-management skills.
• Nice-to-have: Product test knowledge and experience with ICs/modules such as drivers and power stages.
• Nice-to-have: Experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) / development product engineering.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Physics, Computer Science or a related technical field.
