Job Title

Senior Engineer, Digital Design Engineering

Role Summary

Design and verify digital and mixed-signal integrated circuits and FPGA implementations. The role delivers RTL and verification solutions across product development, working with analog design, systems, firmware, applications, product engineering and ATE teams to drive products from definition through tapeout and release.

Primary focus areas include RTL design, verification (SystemVerilog/Verilog), simulation, synthesis, gate-level verification, integration debugging, and testbench development for mixed-signal ASIC and FPGA projects. Position offers partial telecommute (up to 2 days/week).

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting specifies a minimum of 24 months (2 years) experience as a Digital Design Engineer; job requisition type: Experienced.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include design, verification, and cross-functional execution of digital or mixed-signal products.

  • Develop digital design and verification solutions for analog, mixed-signal, power, RF, and DSP integrated circuits across multiple industries.
  • Participate in full product lifecycle: requirements, architecture, RTL implementation, verification, tapeout, and product release.
  • Create and run block- and top-level testbenches; perform simulation, gate-level simulation, and coverage analysis.
  • Debug complex integration and verification failures and work with design teams to resolve issues.
  • Develop test plans and coordinate with product, applications, and test engineering to meet performance and testability goals.
  • Write user guides and documentation; present results and participate in project meetings.
  • Perform new digital design using Verilog RTL and standard-cell flows for ASICs and FPGA implementations.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience (concise):

  • At least 24 months experience as a Digital Design Engineer or in a related role performing digital or mixed-signal design and verification.
  • Demonstrated expertise in digital design methodologies including RTL design, lint, and CDC practices.
  • Experience running simulations, synthesis, and CDC analysis using Cadence or Synopsys tool flows.
  • Proven ability to verify integration and functionality using Verilog and SystemVerilog within an ASIC design flow.
  • Experience with verification-plan generation, coverage analysis, transaction-level modeling, pseudo/constrained-random techniques, assertion-based verification, and formal methods in SystemVerilog.
  • Participation in all phases of digital design and tapeout activities, including architecture, debug, gate-level simulation, and evaluation.

Education Requirements

Required: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field; foreign education equivalent accepted. The posting also specifies 24 months of relevant digital design engineering experience in addition to the degree.
