Job Title

Senior Engineer, Digital Design Engineering

Role Summary

Design and verify digital and mixed-signal ASIC and FPGA blocks for high-performance products. Work across analog, systems, firmware, product engineering and test teams to deliver designs from specification through tapeout and product release.

Work includes RTL design, simulations, verification planning, debug, gate-level simulation, and documentation. Partial telecommute benefit: 2 days/week work from home.

Experience Level

Senior. The role specifies a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Digital Design Engineer or in a related position; the title indicates senior-level responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include digital design, verification, and cross-functional integration throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Develop RTL and digital designs for mixed-signal ASICs and FPGAs using Verilog.
  • Create and execute verification plans, run simulations, and perform gate-level simulations.
  • Use synthesis, lint, and CDC tools to validate designs and integration.
  • Debug design and verification failures and support tapeout activities.
  • Collaborate with analog, systems, firmware, product engineering, applications, and test teams to meet performance and testability goals.
  • Develop testbenches, run block and top-level verification, and analyze coverage and results.
  • Document designs and write user guides for software setup and operating procedures.

Requirements

Key technical and experience requirements. Degree details are in the Education Requirements section below.

Must-have:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Digital Design Engineer or equivalent role performing digital or mixed-signal design and verification.
  • Demonstrated expertise in digital design methodologies: RTL design, lint, and CDC.
  • Experience running simulations, synthesis, and CDC using Cadence or Synopsys toolflows.
  • Proven ability to verify integration and functionality using Verilog, SystemVerilog, and overall ASIC design flow.
  • Experience with verification plan generation, coverage analysis, transaction-level modeling, constrained-random and pseudo-random techniques, assertions, and formal methods in SystemVerilog.
  • Participation in all phases of digital design development including architecture, debug, gate-level simulation, and evaluation.

Education Requirements

Master's degree required in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field; foreign education equivalents acceptable. (The source explicitly requires a Master’s degree plus two years of relevant experience.)
