Role Summary

The Senior Engineer, Design Evaluation Engineer will join the agile advanced data converters group at Analog Devices. This role involves responsibility for product evaluation and requires collaboration with various engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Experience Level

Mid-level, 3+ years of experience in the wireless transceiver or telecommunications industry required.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

  • Interface with design, test, application, software and marketing teams to ensure product completion and distribution.
  • Gather data for hardware release and supporting datasheet.
  • Develop verification and characterization test plans and automate data collection.
  • Conduct lab analysis and evaluation of new systems and resolve functional and parametric problems.
  • Characterization of pre-release silicon including analog, digital, and firmware algorithms.
  • Verification and release of embedded software products.
  • Responsible for the development and operation of software verification test benches.
  • Direct interaction with field sales/applications and customers.
  • May participate in customer visits.

Requirements

The requirements for this position are:

  • Minimum BE/B Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Communication Engineering.
  • 3+ years’ experience in wireless transceiver or telecommunications industry.
  • Knowledge of RF measurements and signal processing.
  • Experience with circuit evaluation and characterization using various bench test equipment.
  • Familiarity with transceivers and different sub-blocks (Plls, Mixers, LNAs, ADCs/DACs, JESD).
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Labview, C#, Python, Teststand preferred).
  • Familiarity with embedded software and verification practices.
  • Experience with simulation tools such as ADS, Cadence.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Intelligence, enthusiasm, and strong work ethic are highly valued.

Education Requirements

Minimum BE/B Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Communication Engineering is required.
