Job Title

Senior Engineer, Design Enablement

Role Summary

Senior Test Engineer on the Design Enablement team at GlobalFoundries' Science Park site. Responsible for developing and executing test plans and procedures for PDK development and customer testing services, ensuring measurement repeatability and reliability.

Work closely with designers and cross-functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve device issues and to transfer test methods into manufacturing test platforms.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include device testing, data analysis, equipment maintenance, and production test adaptation.

  • Test and characterize optoelectronic devices at chip and wafer level following process documentation and equipment instructions.
  • Analyze measurement data, generate test reports, and present results to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Maintain test setups and coordinate equipment calibration with vendors.
  • Support adaptation of hands-on process measurements to high-volume automated manufacturing test platforms.
  • Collaborate with project team members to verify device performance against specifications and resolve issues.
  • Perform duties as assigned according to project progress and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

  • Must-have: Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: Practical knowledge of optical and electrical test instruments; hands-on experience in optoelectronics test engineering and high-volume manufacturing.
  • Preferred: Programming skills such as C/C++, MATLAB, LabVIEW, and Python.
  • Preferred: Strong data analysis and statistical skills; effective teamwork and interpersonal communication.
  • Preferred: Self-motivation and sustained interest in optoelectronics.

Education Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
