Senior Engineer, Assembly & Test Central QA

Role Summary

Lead Material Review Board (MRB) and reprocessing efforts for Assembly & Test to mitigate supply-chain risk while maintaining product quality. Work within the Central QA team at the Taichung Fab to define containment and recovery plans, present executive summaries, and develop process improvements and tools to increase effectiveness and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on leading MRB and reprocessing activities, driving risk-based disposition decisions, and improving MRB effectiveness and related processes.

  • Organize and lead MRB and reprocessing meetings; ensure compliance with MRB/rescreen business processes and QMS.
  • Define and drive containment scope and methodology; align with supply chain on recovery plans.
  • Make risk-based disposition decisions using inline and reliability data.
  • Prepare and present timely executive-level MRB summaries and updates.
  • Establish and monitor MRB effectiveness metrics; identify gaps and lead continuous improvement.
  • Develop and evaluate tools and process changes to improve effectiveness and operational efficiency.

  • Must-have: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; ability to organize and structure data for decision making.
  • Must-have: Practical knowledge of Assembly & Test processes and common failure modes.
  • Must-have: Experience with MRB, reprocessing, or other material-review/disposition processes.
  • Must-have: Proficiency with data-analysis and statistical tools (JMP) and familiarity with Unix.
  • Must-have: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data-visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Must-have: Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills; able to work independently and in teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot), Snowflake, and semiconductor reliability testing.

Education Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
