Job Title

Senior Engineer, Analog Design Engineering

Role Summary

Senior Analog Design Engineer in the CAC group responsible for signal-chain and sub-block analog/mixed-signal IC design (ADC, DAC, bandgap, amplifiers) from concept through silicon. The role leads design and debugging activities, guides layout and demo-board PCB efforts, and coordinates system-level integration across global teams.

Experience Level

Senior. Specific years-of-experience not specified.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include leading analog/mixed-signal IC design, supporting silicon bring-up, and collaborating across functions and sites.

  • Lead and contribute to analog and mixed-signal IC design from concept through silicon.
  • Design signal-chain sub-blocks: ADCs, DACs, amplifiers, and related circuits; support system-level integration.
  • Oversee IC layout activities and provide guidance for demo-board PCB layout.
  • Support silicon debug, yield improvement, and performance characterization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global design sites to meet project milestones.
  • Travel as required for collaboration and silicon debug (approx. 10%).

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and capabilities; nice-to-have items listed separately.

  • Proven experience in analog/mixed-signal IC development and hands-on CMOS analog design.
  • Strong fundamentals in layout and s-domain / z-domain analysis.
  • Experience with ADCs or DACs, or familiarity with high-gain amplifiers, switched-capacitor circuits, comparators, integrators, voltage references, and LDOs.
  • Deep understanding of precision metrics such as noise, mismatch, and linearity.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead technical tasks and coordinate across distributed teams.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with switching power supply circuits and power-conversion design.

Education Requirements

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with experience in analog/mixed-signal IC development (analog design, ADC/DAC, amplifier architecture). (Degrees listed in source: MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering.)
