Job Title

Senior Engineer, Advanced DRAM Process Integration

Role Summary

As a process integration engineer in the 3D DRAM organization, you will work in a 300mm R&D facility to optimize performance and manufacturability of next-generation 3D DRAM technology. The role focuses on integration and circuit issues for device components such as charge storage devices and thin-film transistors and involves close collaboration with process development, simulation, modeling, characterization, and reliability teams.

The position applies semiconductor device physics and process integration expertise to enable scalable memory technology, improve yield, and reduce cost.

Experience Level

Senior; requires 5+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead technology integration activities to enable manufacturability of 3D DRAM devices, including charge storage devices and thin-film transistors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as process development, product engineering, design, yield improvement, advanced mask, and probe to resolve yield and margin issues.
  • Design and execute experiments in the R&D fab and optimize process flows to meet product requirements.
  • Extract, supervise, analyze, and act on inline, defect, parametric, and probe data to fix yield issues, improve performance and reliability, and add process margin.
  • Lead continuous yield improvement and cost-reduction activities.
  • Summarize complex problems, define corrective actions, and drive implementation across teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Detailed knowledge of mainstream memory technologies such as DRAM and NAND.
  • Expertise in semiconductor device physics.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor process integration and process development.
  • Familiarity with both process integration and circuit/architecture issues as they relate to memory technologies.
  • Proficiency with data analysis, design of experiments (DOE), and statistical techniques.
  • Proven project management skills and experience driving cross-functional technical teams.

Education Requirements

M.S. or PhD in a related field required, with 5+ years of experience.
