Role Summary
Responsible for definition, design and verification of package designs for advanced 2.5D/3D systems. The role supports layout, SI/PI requirements and works with vendors to deliver manufacturable package solutions.
Position sits within the packaging/hardware engineering team and focuses on improving design standardization, manufacturability and overall team efficiency.
Experience Level
Senior β typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience, particularly in package layout and tool usage.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include:
- Define, design and verify 2.5D/3D package layouts and deliverables.
- Create layouts following DFM, DFA, signal and power delivery network best practices.
- Address SI/PI requirements throughout design and verification stages.
- Work with minimal supervision, adapt to loosely defined problems and drive tasks to completion.
- Collaborate and coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Propose and implement standardization and process improvements to increase team efficiency.

Must-have: Experience with 2.5D and 3D package systems and their SI/PI requirements.

Must-have: 7+ years of recent experience using Cadence APD and Allegro toolsets for packaging/layout work.

Must-have: Experience producing layouts that meet DFM/DFA and power/signal delivery constraints.

Must-have: Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and drive design standardization.

Nice-to-have: Experience collaborating with EDA vendors, evaluating tools and resolving tool-related issues.

Nice-to-have: Programming or scripting experience (Python, SKILL, TCL) to automate or optimize design methodologies.

Nice-to-have: Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical degree, or equivalent practical experience.
