Senior Embedded Engineer, Audio SW Systems
Role Summary
Senior embedded systems audio software engineer responsible for developing drivers, firmware, algorithms and test procedures to integrate ADI audio technology into consumer and mobile devices. Works with cross-functional hardware and software teams to deliver validated audio solutions across Linux, Windows and embedded platforms.
Experience Level
Senior — minimum 3+ years of software or firmware development experience, including 2+ years in audio-related work.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include low-level driver development, firmware/algorithm implementation, platform testing and system-level integration and debugging.
- Develop device drivers for ADI audio ICs.
- Design, implement and verify firmware and audio algorithms for target systems or silicon platforms.
- Develop and execute audio test procedures across platforms (including Linux and Windows).
- Support system integration, debugging and troubleshooting on multiple hardware platforms.
Requirements

- Must-have: 3+ years software/firmware development experience with at least 2 years in the audio domain.
- Experience with embedded system software, RTOS and ALSA drivers.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and strong coding, debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
- Nice-to-have: knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP); Python proficiency; GUI development experience; experience with Android audio framework and mobile audio systems; experience developing Windows audio drivers; experience supporting mass production.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
