Senior Embedded Architect Manager

Role Summary

Lead technical security architecture, design, and implementation for next-generation NVIDIA networking products. The role combines hands-on engineering with cross-functional coordination across hardware, firmware, software, research, and product teams to define and validate secure platform architectures.

This position focuses on hardware-enabled security primitives, IO interface security, microarchitectural modeling, and collaboration with partners to meet internal and external security requirements.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include architecture, design, validation, and collaboration to deliver secure embedded/networking platforms.

  • Research, design, develop, and implement hardware and software architecture solutions to meet security requirements and standards.
  • Define and apply hardware security primitives to enable secure software extensions and trusted platform features.
  • Perform architectural modeling, microarchitectural definition, and validation against security requirements.
  • Collaborate across teams (hardware, firmware, software, research, product) and with external partners/customers to drive implementations and address security threats.
  • Work with partners on open-source software implementation and integrate hardware/security features into downstream stacks.
  • Follow and contribute to relevant standards bodies and develop infrastructure for hardware-based trust mechanisms.

  • Must-have: Hands-on experience with IO interfaces such as I2C, I3C, SPI, UART, USB, and PCIe.
  • Must-have: Experience with embedded systems and low-level firmware development.
  • Must-have: Strong programming and debugging skills across Verilog, Python/Perl scripting, ARM assembly, and C/C++.
  • Must-have: Knowledge of security-by-design hardware principles and privilege models.
  • Must-have: Proven ability to work in dynamic, collaborative teams with strong communication skills.
  • Preferred / Nice-to-have: Experience with computing platform boot architecture in embedded devices and servers.
  • Preferred / Nice-to-have: Experience with RISC-V architecture, root-of-trust designs, and security processors.

Education Requirements

BSc, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
