Job Title
Senior Electronics SI/PI Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for system-level signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analysis for SoC-to-board integration within the Packaging, Boards and Multiphysics team. Work on hardware platform prototypes that incorporate Arm processors and collaborate with chip packaging and PCB design teams to validate performance, reliability and manufacturability.
The role involves cross-geography collaboration with engineering teams to deliver SI/PI solutions for high-performance embedded compute systems.
Experience Level
Senior-level.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Perform system-level signal integrity and power integrity analysis across silicon, package and board.
- Collaborate with chip packaging, PCB design and routing teams to define routing strategies, layer stack-ups and design rules.
- Propose and validate SI solutions to meet interface timing and signal-quality requirements.
- Perform board and system-level power-delivery network (PDN) AC and DC simulation for low-voltage, high-current supplies.
- Validate hardware platform prototypes and support integration activities for Arm IP on target boards.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Deep knowledge of high-speed signal and power integrity and timing analysis across silicon, package and board; electromagnetic modeling of 3-D structures.
- Expertise in SI analysis for high-density SoCs and verification of routing strategy with a given stack-up and design-rule set.
- Familiarity with high-speed interface standards (for example PCIe Gen5+, DDR4+/LPDDR5+, USB, Ethernet).
- Experience collaborating with chip packaging teams.
- Proficiency with SI tools (examples: ANSYS, Siemens EDA) and PCB layout tools such as Cadence Allegro PCB and OrCAD CIS.
- Good communication skills, attention to detail and a collaborative attitude.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with design automation and scripting.
- Embedded hardware debug experience using laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, VNAs).
- Experience working across geographies with distributed teams.
Education Requirements
Not specified.
