Senior Electrical Engineer
Role Summary
Design and develop antennas and RF-related circuitry for two-way radios. Work within the Advanced Technology team to perform RF design, simulation, optimization, validation and testing to meet reliability and regulatory requirements.
Build prototypes and proofs of concept, run bench and lab tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and validate antenna solutions.
Experience Level
Senior - posting specifies a minimum of 3 years of relevant RF/Electrical/Electronics design experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, simulate, optimize and validate antennas for two-way radio products.
- Perform RF simulations and analysis to meet performance, reliability and regulatory standards.
- Construct prototypes and proofs of concept; execute lab and bench testing.
- Use RF test equipment to characterize designs and troubleshoot issues.
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate antenna designs into products.
- Document test results and ensure product compliance with regulatory and reliability requirements.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Minimum 3 years of RF / electrical / electronics design experience.
- Practical experience with RF simulations and design tools (examples: ADS, CST).
- Hands-on experience with RF test equipment: network analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope; familiarity with CMW and spectrum analyzers.
- Experience in prototype construction and lab testing of RF/antenna designs.
- Good communication, teamwork and ability to work with cross-functional groups.
- Willingness to work onsite in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in RF, Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field as stated in the posting.
