Job Title

Senior Dry Etch Process Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for starting up, developing, and optimizing dry etch processes in DRAM manufacturing to improve product quality, yield, cost, and productivity. Works on process qualification, line issue resolution, and statistical process control ownership.

The role is cross-functional and hands-on: you will collaborate with equipment and integration engineers, manufacturing teams, and project managers to implement solutions and improve process stability.

Experience Level

Senior-level; typically requires 5+ years of industry experience, with specific experience as a Process Owner within Dry Etch.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include process development, problem resolution, and driving yield and productivity improvements.

  • Start up, develop, and optimize dry etch processes for production.
  • Resolve manufacturing line issues affecting yield, defectivity, and throughput.
  • Drive process yield improvements, cost reductions, and productivity gains.
  • Collaborate with equipment and integration engineers to identify and remediate production issues.
  • Manage projects and deliver milestones to close yield, defectivity, production, and cost gaps.
  • Own and improve statistical process control (SPC) charts and related metrics.
  • Support DRAM development and manufacturing initiatives.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills for the role.

  • Must-have: 5+ years industry experience as a Process Owner within Dry Etch.
  • Must-have: Strong process-area knowledge and experience in DRAM development/manufacturing.
  • Must-have: Experience collaborating with equipment/integration engineers and driving cross-functional projects.
  • Must-have: Experience owning and improving SPC metrics.
  • Nice-to-have: Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment.
  • Nice-to-have: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
  • Nice-to-have: Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Proficiency in data science and programming skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering field preferred; equivalent military experience acceptable. An AAS with 5+ years of industry experience is also listed as an acceptable alternative.
