Job Title

Senior Director, Technical Program Management (Post-Silicon)

Role Summary

Lead and scale a Technical Program Management (TPM) organization focused on post-silicon execution for complex Arm-based SoC programs. The role drives predictable program delivery through silicon validation, debug, and production readiness by establishing program governance, managing cross-functional dependencies, and developing TPM talent.

Experience Level

Senior (Director-level). Requires extensive technical program management and senior people leadership experience within semiconductor or complex engineering organizations.

Responsibilities

Accountable for the effectiveness, execution quality, and continuous improvement of post-silicon TPM practices across multiple SoC programs.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Technical Program Managers, including performance management and resource planning.
  • Define and enforce program management methodologies, governance, tools, and execution standards.
  • Oversee integrated program plans: schedules, milestones, critical paths, dependencies, deliverables, risks, and mitigations through silicon validation and production readiness.
  • Provide senior leadership with clear visibility into program health, schedule confidence, and critical dependencies.
  • Drive resolution of complex cross-functional issues, resource constraints, and execution risks.
  • Partner with engineering teams (silicon validation, hardware, firmware, software, architecture, design) to align priorities and execution.
  • Establish accountability for milestone readiness, issue resolution, and timely escalation of execution risks.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and predictability.
  • Coordinate with external silicon partners and vendors as required to meet program objectives.

Requirements

Must-have technical leadership and program execution capabilities for post-silicon SoC programs. Nice-to-have items are listed separately.

  • Must-have: Proven experience leading and developing TPM teams in semiconductor or complex engineering organizations.
  • Must-have: Deep understanding of the post-silicon SoC lifecycle: silicon bring-up, hardware/software validation, silicon debug, performance/power characterization, and production readiness.
  • Must-have: Track record managing multiple complex, cross-functional SoC programs, with emphasis on dependency management, risk mitigation, and milestone accountability.
  • Must-have: Ability to influence senior engineering leaders and communicate technical/programmatic issues to executive stakeholders.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience establishing scalable TPM frameworks, governance, and standardized execution practices.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with high-performance, infrastructure-class, or multi-die SoCs.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience leading geographically distributed TPM teams and coordinating external silicon partners or vendors.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, program management dashboards, and engineering execution tools.
