Senior-level. Requires extensive executive leadership and technical experience; posting requests a minimum of 15 years in semiconductor or quantum R&D.
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for GF's quantum technology development and customer programs.
- Develop and execute the GF Labs quantum roadmap aligned with industry needs and customer engagements.
- Recruit, scale, onboard and mentor a multidisciplinary team including physicists, integration/process engineers, design-enablement engineers, and project managers.
- Plan and lead customer joint development programs targeting acceleration of systems exceeding 1M qubits.
- Build partnerships with materials and tools providers, research institutions, and universities to address materials and integration challenges.
- Advocate for quantum initiatives with business stakeholders by communicating milestones and ROI.
- Drive system-level reliability and cryo-operation capabilities to improve hardware quality.
- Provide operational oversight: optimize project scope/timelines, improve specialized fabrication processes, establish OKR-driven tracking, and manage multi-quarter R&D budgets.
