Role Summary

Lead Qualcomm's Camera SoC engineering organization in Taiwan, responsible for end-to-end execution of camera silicon programs. Manage a cross-functional organization spanning Hardware Engineering, Emulation, Software/Firmware, Systems Engineering, and Program Management.

Drive roadmap execution, silicon bring-up, validation, and product commercialization while partnering with global product and business leaders to align resources and priorities.

Experience Level

Senior - typically requires 15+ years in semiconductor/SoC development with 8+ years in engineering leadership roles (senior management of large, multidisciplinary teams).

Responsibilities

Accountable for program delivery, organizational leadership, and cross-functional alignment. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and scale a multidisciplinary Camera SoC organization across hardware, emulation, software/firmware, systems, and program management.
• Own execution of Camera SoC roadmaps, development milestones, silicon bring-up, validation, and product commercialization.
• Coordinate resources, priorities, and deliverables with global engineering, product management, and business stakeholders.
• Ensure predictable program execution through risk management, issue resolution, and quality oversight.
• Develop organizational capability: hiring, talent development, succession planning, and culture leadership.
• Represent the Taiwan Camera SoC organization in executive reviews and strategic planning.
• Define and track program KPIs and drive continuous improvement in processes and execution.

Requirements

Must-have technical and leadership qualifications; degree requirements are listed separately under Education Requirements.

• 15+ years of semiconductor/SoC development experience with 8+ years in engineering leadership roles (managing large cross-functional teams).
• Proven track record delivering complex silicon programs from concept through commercialization.
• Deep technical understanding of SoC development, system validation, software integration, and product execution.
• Experience managing hardware bring-up, emulation, and firmware/software integration activities across teams.
• Strong program and project management skills, including risk identification/mitigation and schedule management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to represent teams at executive levels.
• Ability to hire, coach, and retain engineering talent and to build scalable organizational processes.
• Nice-to-have: prior camera/ISP or mobile SoC experience, familiarity with Taiwan/Asia operations, and hands-on silicon bring-up experience.
