Senior Director - Platform Solutions Product Owner

Role Summary

Lead product strategy and roadmaps for integrated platform solutions that combine Synopsys IP, EDA, verification, software and partner technologies to address semiconductor and system-level challenges. Operate across product, engineering, sales and partner organizations to drive customer adoption and design wins.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary Multi-Die Ecosystem Platform Solutions organization coordinating across product management, engineering, verification, software and customer-facing teams.

Experience Level

Senior - requires extensive leadership experience. The role expects approximately 20+ years of relevant experience in semiconductors, embedded systems, software-defined systems, product management or related technology businesses.

Responsibilities

Define strategy, align engineering and commercial teams, and drive customer adoption of integrated platform solutions.

• Define and drive strategy and roadmap for integrated platform solutions addressing strategic semiconductor and system-level opportunities.
• Gather market and customer requirements and translate them into platform capabilities, priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate across multiple product and engineering organizations to integrate complementary technologies into coherent solutions.
• Align product requirements with engineering priorities and development investments.
• Lead customer evaluation and adoption efforts, support architecture assessments and proof points for design wins.
• Develop and manage relationships with technology partners and industry communities.
• Contribute to go-to-market strategy, positioning, business cases and investment decisions.
• Represent platform strategy to customers, partners and senior internal stakeholders.
• Establish scalable, repeatable platform approaches for reuse and broader adoption.

Requirements

• 20+ years of relevant experience including significant leadership responsibility.
• Proven experience defining and bringing complex technology products and platforms to market that combine hardware and software capabilities.
• Strong technical knowledge of system and SoC architecture, hardware/software interaction, verification and validation methodologies.
• Experience with software-enabled platforms (firmware, middleware, OS, application frameworks, developer environments).
• Familiarity with early development and validation environments: virtual platforms, simulation, emulation, FPGA prototyping.
• Demonstrated ability to translate customer and market requirements into strategy, roadmaps and measurable business outcomes.
• Experience influencing decisions across complex, matrixed organizations and establishing technology partnerships.
• Significant customer-facing experience with technical and executive stakeholders; go-to-market and business development experience.
• Experience leading large cross-functional or distributed teams and managing business or investment responsibilities (highly desirable).

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline - or equivalent professional experience.
