Role Summary
Lead and scale the non‑Americas application engineering organization for Synopsys' 3DIC and advanced packaging solutions. Own technical strategy, customer engagement for complex 3DIC designs, and alignment with sales, product, and R&D to drive design wins and revenue.

Senior level. Role expects 10+ years of industry experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership or people‑management roles.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include building and operating a high‑performing AE team and driving customer technical success and revenue growth.
- Lead and scale the non‑Americas application engineering team for 3DIC and advanced packaging solutions.
- Define technical engagement strategy from evaluation through production deployment.
- Drive customer discovery, opportunity qualification, and technical sales campaigns to secure design wins.
- Hire, develop, and manage senior application engineers to operate independently in customer environments.
- Partner with sales, product, and R&D to translate field feedback into product roadmaps and ensure team enablement.
- Own escalations and resolve high‑stakes technical roadblocks, engaging directly with customers when needed.
- Travel regularly across the region to build customer relationships and represent the company in executive‑level technical discussions.
Requirements
Must-have:
- 10+ years in application engineering, technical sales, or customer-facing roles in EDA or the semiconductor industry.
- At least 5 years leading teams at a senior level, including hiring and developing senior technical talent.
- Technical credibility in digital implementation, 3DIC design construction, and multi‑physical analysis to advise customer engineers on tradeoffs.
- Proven record of driving new business acquisition, competitive displacement, and technical sales campaigns with measurable revenue impact.
- Strong understanding of 3DIC technologies, advanced packaging, and the semiconductor design ecosystem.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% regionally.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience across EDA and multi‑physics solution spaces and familiarity with integrations between those toolchains.
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams across multiple countries.
