Job Title
Senior Digital Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Senior engineer responsible for end-to-end verification of complex digital and mixed-signal Optical Control ICs used in AI datacenter and cloud infrastructure. Works across block, chip, and system levels and collaborates with digital design, analog/mixed-signal, firmware, and system teams.
Experience Level
Senior β expects experienced candidate (typically 3+ years in digital verification for complex SoC designs).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include ownership of verification activities from block to system level and ensuring first-pass silicon quality.
- Own block-level, chip-level, and system-level verification and closure.
- Develop verification plans: test strategy, functional coverage, assertions, and closure criteria.
- Build and maintain UVM-based verification environments, including testbench architecture, sequences, and scoreboards.
- Drive functional and code coverage analysis and closure; maintain coverage-driven verification process.
- Perform in-depth debug and root-cause analysis of complex functional and integration issues.
- Collaborate with digital designers during architecture and RTL development to enable effective verification.
- Coordinate with analog/mixed-signal teams on co-simulation and mixed-signal verification strategies.
- Partner with firmware/software teams for system-level and application-level verification.
- Support post-silicon validation and silicon bring-up activities with evaluation and applications teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; listed nice-to-have items are marked accordingly.
- 3+ years of hands-on digital verification experience for complex SoC designs.
- Strong expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM (testbench architecture, sequences, scoreboards, assertions, coverage).
- Proven experience with functional coverage and code coverage analysis and closure.
- Familiarity with AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB) and verification of processor-based SoCs.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog, C/C++, and scripting (Python, Perl, Tcl, or shell).
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills; able to drive tasks independently.
- Good spoken and written English communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in mixed-signal verification, analog modeling, or co-simulation.
- Experience with post-silicon validation or silicon bring-up teams.
- Familiarity or experience with AI-assisted tools to improve design productivity.
Education Requirements
B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (as stated). No certifications specified.
