Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and execute the full digital IC design flow: specification, architectural design, RTL coding (Verilog/SystemVerilog), synthesis, static timing analysis (STA), formal verification, and power analysis.
  • Contribute to design-for-testability (DFT) implementation and verification.
  • Collaborate with analog, mixed-signal, and software teams to define interfaces and optimize system performance.
  • Develop and implement digital architectures and methodologies to meet performance, power, and area targets.
  • Perform comprehensive design verification using simulation, formal techniques, and hardware emulation.
  • Participate in post-silicon validation and debug to identify and resolve issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to improve design processes.
  • Produce detailed design documentation, including specifications, test plans, and design reviews.

Must-have skills and experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in digital IC design.
  • Expertise in RTL design and verification using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
  • Proven experience with industry-standard EDA tools for synthesis and STA (examples: Synopsys Design Compiler, Cadence Genus, PrimeTime).
  • Experience with formal verification tools (example: Synopsys Formality) and simulation environments (examples: VCS, QuestaSim).
  • Strong understanding of digital design principles, clock domain crossing (CDC) issues, power integrity, and low-power design techniques.
  • Experience with scripting for automation (Python, Perl, Tcl).
  • Familiarity with mixed-signal integration challenges and verification methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, debugging, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead technical discussions and work independently.
