Senior Digital Design Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Semi-Custom Silicon products group to design NVLink Fusion-based AI infrastructure system-on-chips. Deliver RTL blocks that meet performance, area, and power targets while integrating with chip-level teams.
This role focuses on micro-architecture, RTL implementation, verification, and integration of high-bandwidth connectivity and datapath blocks.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 12+ years of relevant work experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include architecture analysis, RTL development, verification, and IP integration for high-speed connectivity blocks.
- Analyze architectural requirements and perform trade-off analysis for implementation choices.
- Define micro-architecture specifications and implement high-quality RTL.
- Deliver fully verified, synthesis- and timing-clean blocks.
- Collaborate with chip architects, verification engineers, formal verification engineers, and SoC integration engineers to meet block goals.
- Identify, select, customize, and integrate IP solutions for specific use cases.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Proven track record delivering high-bandwidth datapath blocks (data movers, protocol adapters, NoC, arbiters, schedulers).
- Experience with high-speed connectivity protocols such as NVLink, PCI-Express, Ethernet, UCIE.
- Deep understanding of ASIC design flows and methodology, including synthesis and timing closure.
- Strong analytical skills and effective interpersonal/teamwork abilities.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
