RTL Design Jobs, Level - Senior

Job Title

Senior Digital Design Engineer

Role Summary

Member of a small, cross-disciplinary Joint Development Team (JDT) responsible for RTL design, subsystem implementation, and mixed-signal integration for advanced products. Work includes RTL creation, verification collaboration, and supporting implementation and AMS co-simulation under mentorship of senior designers.

Projects span imaging, precision data converters, medical devices, energy metering, and other mixed-signal systems; role requires collaboration across design, verification, and physical implementation teams.

Experience Level

Senior level (title contains "Senior"). Typical experience indicated: 2–5 years of digital design experience; role aligns with experienced individual contributors who may mentor or be mentored within the team.

Responsibilities

Primary day-to-day responsibilities include digital RTL development, verification support, and mixed-signal integration.

  • Write RTL for digital blocks from specifications.
  • Run lint and CDC analysis; support DFT integration.
  • Assist writing functional testcases and simple UVM components; collaborate with DV engineers on coverage closure and bug resolution.
  • Support AMS co-simulation and integration with analog blocks.
  • Coordinate with physical design teams on synthesis and timing closure.
  • Develop skills in digital design verification and switch between design and DV roles as project needs require.
  • Occasional travel required (~10%).

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience to perform the role; nice-to-have items listed separately.

  • Must-have: 2–5 years of digital design experience or strong non-commercial/academic CMOS group (NCG) background; proficiency in SystemVerilog/Verilog.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; able to perform independent research and self-study.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with UVM; basic understanding of AMS modeling and mixed-signal flows.

Education Requirements
