Job Title

Senior DFT Engineer

Role Summary

Work in NVIDIA's Advanced Technology Group to develop and optimize design-for-test (DFT) methodology and testing strategies for next-generation CMOS process nodes and advanced packaging. The role focuses on test architecture, test program bring-up, pattern generation, verification, and failure analysis to enable robust product bring-up.

Join a team focused on process technology adoption and high-impact silicon development.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically requires 12+ years of experience in DFT and related test disciplines.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include test methodology, verification, and production bring-up.

  • Define and implement test methodologies: logic insertion, verification, pattern generation, and test program bring-up.
  • Balance test time and data collection to monitor the health of next-generation process nodes.
  • Support design and tape-out of advanced packaging vehicles.
  • Perform complex debug and failure analysis to identify and resolve product bring-up issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to specify custom test methods and requirements.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • 12+ years experience in design for test (DFT).
  • In-depth knowledge of test architectures: IEEE1149.1, IEEE1500, SSN scan compression, IOBIST, and memory BIST.
  • Expertise in test logic design verification and pattern generation; ability to develop and enhance flows.
  • Experience with ATE test program development and bring-up, including specifying custom test methods for data collection.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard DFT EDA tools.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting (e.g., Python).

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with DDR and HBM high-speed I/O testing.
  • Hands-on experience with failure analysis tools such as LVP, photon emission, and ebeam probing.
  • Familiarity with Advantest 93k testers.

Education Requirements

BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
