Senior DFT Engineer
NVIDIAJob Title
Senior DFT Engineer
Role Summary
Lead post-silicon DFT enablement from initial silicon bring-up through production ramp and lifecycle support. Connect silicon behavior, test results, and product learning to produce robust, production-ready DFT solutions for advanced chips.
Experience Level
Senior. Typical experience profile in the posting: BSEE with 8+ years or MS with 6+ years, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on post-silicon execution, analysis, and cross-functional alignment.
- Drive post-silicon enablement of DFT capabilities through bring-up, validation, production ramp, and lifecycle support.
- Analyze test results, quality indicators, yield behavior, and test efficiency; convert findings into actionable technical recommendations.
- Influence DFT architecture and implementation by defining post-silicon requirements and metrics.
- Define and improve methodologies for silicon bring-up, failure analysis, test-content validation, and production deployment.
- Productize DFT capabilities by establishing scalable flows, validation criteria, debug procedures, and documentation.
- Contribute to modeling and analysis for test-time optimization, quality improvement, yield learning, and test power.
- Collaborate with design, product development, and test teams to align pre-silicon trade-offs with post-silicon execution.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience derived from the posting.
- Solid understanding of DFT concepts and silicon test, and the relationship between design implementation, test content, and post-silicon behavior.
- Experience with silicon bring-up, debug, validation, production test, or engineering analysis of semiconductor devices.
- Ability to analyze complex datasets using statistical or analytical methods to identify trends and support engineering decisions.
- Familiarity with automated test environments and test-program flows.
- Knowledge of semiconductor fundamentals, including device behavior, process variation, and operating-condition impacts on silicon results.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical disciplines.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience moving a silicon feature, test capability, or validation flow from development through production deployment.
- Working knowledge of core DFT features such as scan, ATPG, and MBIST, together with silicon characterization and manufacturing test.
- Experience developing scalable engineering workflows, automation, dashboards, or analysis tools.
Education Requirements
BSEE (or equivalent practical experience) with 8+ years, or MS with 6+ years in a related field. The posting explicitly allows equivalent experience in lieu of the listed degrees.
