Senior DFT Engineer, Architecture
TenstorrentJob Title
Senior DFT Engineer
Role Summary
Design and implement design-for-test (DFT) features for high-speed CPU cores and multi-chiplet System-in-Package (SiP) integration. Work with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure testability, silicon bring-up, and manufacturability.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include implementing DFT features, verifying testability, automating flows, and supporting silicon debug.
- Develop chip-level DFT strategies for multi-chiplet SoCs and SiP integration.
- Insert and verify scan chains, memory BIST, JTAG, and other test structures.
- Run ATPG, analyze fault coverage, and produce signoff-quality reports.
- Collaborate with RTL, physical design, and verification teams to ensure testability throughout the design flow.
- Script and automate DFT flows using industry-standard EDA tools and toolchains.
- Support silicon bring-up and debug related to test features.
- Participate in formal verification and signoff of inserted DFT logic.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Extensive hands-on experience with DFT tools (Synopsys, Siemens/Siemens EDA, Cadence or equivalent).
- Strong scripting skills (TCL, Python) and experience automating EDA flows.
- Experience with DFT planning, silicon debug, and test feature implementation in SoCs.
- Knowledge of advanced silicon technologies and methodologies for test coverage optimization.
- Strong verbal and written communication in English and ability to work in cross-functional, distributed teams.
- Experience collaborating with external stakeholders and global teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Fluency in Japanese.
- Japanese work visa.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
